Fertilizer Friday - Flaunt your Flowers July 1

July 1st  already! Where does the time GO?
Happy 144th Birthday Canada!!!

A few blooms to share with Tootsie for Fertilizer Friday  
I had a clump of Poppies grow in the compost and I have been (not so)  patiently waiting for the blooms to open.
 Definitely worth the wait! Gorgeous!
A battered 'Muskoka Moonlight' Rose
'Midas Touch'
A couple of miniature Roses

Ever grown Heliotrope? What a wonderful scent!
A clump of Feverfew starting to bloom
A lone unknown Lily
Stonecrop
A few Shasta Daisy's starting to open
A couple of Delphiniums

And my personal favorite this week - Red Monarda

    Oh, I'll say that poppy is gorgeous...what a color and petal count! Lovely. You have an amazing collection of lovely blooms this week. Here in Wisconsin, we've had a really wet and cool summer so far (except for today, when we are up in the 90's...such weird weather) and my garden is not doing much yet.

    I grow a lot of poppies of different colours but I don't have any of that variety.
    What type are they? Do you collect the seeds?

    Lori - I'm not sure about the Poppy. It and a few friends popped up in my compost this year! I'll have to save some seeds :)

    Your roses are gorgeous but it's the poppy that keeps pulling my eyes away from the others. It's so full! Definitely worth waiting for!

    Netty, I was thinking about your comment about your mock orange. When do you prune it? Prune immediately after it is done flowering and be sure it is in full sun. Pruning later in the season reduces the number of flowers the mock orange will produce the following year. Hope that helps.

    Netty, I'm jealous of your delphiniums. It is just too hot and humid for them to do well here in S. IL. Your monarda is a beautiful color. Thanks for sharing your garden pictures! ~~Rhonda
