Trail Camera

The trail camera has been put to use down at the front of the property.
I had hopes that I would catch the Buck that used to travel the path down here and rub up on the young trees. So far, no luck.
I have, however, snapped photos of a lot of CATS.
I'm not sure who they belong to ... the small tabby belongs to the barn next door.
There is a beautiful Manx too.
Another cutie, not sure where it comes from either.
A cottontail

And Jack is back!
Still no sign of that buck, but the others had better watch out!
Mr Coyote is on your trail!

I will remember

Remembrance Day
This is the day we remember the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country. They are the reason we live so well.
Remember their ultimate sacrifice.

I was born to parents who remembered all too well the horrors of war.
The sounds of gunfire, explosions, and planes flying low.
Bombing raids and rations.
The fathers, husbands and brothers who didn't come home.
It is no wonder they rarely spoke of those days, or never wanted to watch the documentaries on the TV ... they LIVED it.

Tomorrow, I will stop and reflect upon the soldiers I never knew, and those who experienced the consequences of war.

I WILL REMEMBER

First snow fall - November 8th

Time sure has a way of slipping by.
One minute I am out in my summer garden, the next minute there is snow!
I had barely finished planting bulbs and cleaning out the gardens, the next thing you know
SNOW!

It had all melted off by the end of the day, but it was a reminder of how much there still was to do before winter really hit.
The gardens still need cleaning, a few things need putting away.
The woodshed needs to be filled, winter apparel pulled out.
Thanks for the wake up call Mother Nature!
:)
